MAKE ADOPTION YOUR FIRST OPTION.
By adopting, you are giving our homeless animals a chance
for a good life, a chance to be loved and to love back.
Thank you for your interest in adopting. By simply reading this website, you are already showing the animals of PAWS that you care. The animals of PAWS are internet savvy and are monitoring this website's traffic constantly. Tails are twitching and wagging with joy right at this moment.
The Adoption Process at the PAWS Animal Rehab Center (PARC), on average, takes anywhere between 2 weeks to a month, depending on the personality of the dog or cat that you choose, or is compatible with your family and living conditions and lifestyle.
If you really are serious about adopting a homeless animal from PAWS, here are what you need to do:
1. APPLICATION FORM
Download the PAWS Adoption Form, print back to back and fill it up. Once filled up, bring the form personally to the PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center (PARC).
Click here for the map of PARC's location.
Click here for directions and commuting tips to PARC
2. MEET AND GREET
Upon submission of your application form at the shelter, you will be shown the shelter animals available for adoption. In this step, you might find the shelter animal that would pull at your heart.
Choose the cat or dog, kitten or puppy, that would complement you and your home. With a little patience and a lot of fun, I'm 100% sure you will find one!
Two to three (2-3) sets of interviews will be scheduled for you (and ideally, your family as well). The interviews will simply tell us how you are as an animal owner/guardian and what type of animal companion would fit you and your home.
4. HOME VISIT
An ocular visit to your home will also be set so we have an idea where your newly adopted pet will stay.
5. VISIT YOUR CHOSEN ADOPTEE AT PARC
Once steps 1-4 are completed, we will schedule for you to visit your adoptee for at least 3 times before you take the dog/cat home. This is to ensure your compatibility with your adoptee. :)
6. RELEASE DAY
On the day of the release, pay the adoption fee. That's Php 500 for cats and Php 1,000 for dogs. The following will be covered:
Take your new companion home and go online to join the official PAWS yahoogroup or like our facebook account and occasionally tell us what's up. We'd love to hear how you are doing with your new animal companion. Share pictures!
After being adopted out, the animals may be brought back to the shelter to get free basic obedience training and avail of free veterinary consultations and discounts on PARC clinic services (all by appointment).
The adoption fee simply ensures that the adoption and animal rehabilitation programs of PAWS keep rolling like a happy puppy playing in the green pasture on a Saturday afternoon!
If you have more questions, kindly call PARC at (02) 4751688, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
