PAWS volunteers and friends from Earth Island Institute and CARA joined together in a peaceful protest against the exportation of the 25 dolphins from Ocean Adventure in Subic, Zambales to Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) in Singapore.

The dolphins were caught in the Solomon Islands and taken to the Philippines to train for dolphin shows.

Despite the ongoing case filed by Animal Welfare Organizations and Environmentalist Groups, the dolphins were exported anyway to Singapore on November 20 and 25. Wen Wen, one of the dolphins, died en route to Singapore.

Volunteers gathered in front of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) on November 22, 2012, to protest this complete lack of respect for the Philippine Judiciary System.

An hour into the rally, a representative from BFAR invited the leaders of the groups for private dialogue, only to claim that there is nothing they can do about the transfer of the dolphins.
