Petunia was rescued from an abandoned building--she just gave birth to two puppies and she had been locked inside the storage for more than a week.
Her fear of people and noise was a testament to her trauma: it was heartbreaking to watch her cower into a corner and shiver in fright even with the gentlest approach.
Little by little, Petunia is learning to trust us humans again, and hopefully she'll find a home where she always have the reassurance of a loving, secure home.
